Were Adam and Eve really alone?

Okay heres what gets me with the bible? I know I’m gonna raise an eyebrow on this but hear me out. Okay in Genesis, God created Adam from the dirt blew life in him, right, right. Then later on, God puts him to sleep, gets a rib molds Eve right, right. Later on she bares two son, Cane and Abel, one gets jealous and kills the other one right, right. God confronts him puts a mark on him that whoever finds him will kill him 7 or 10x’s ( I forget the actual numbers) fold. He’s cast out of the Garden Of Eden, goes to the Land of Nod WHERE HE FINDS HIS WIFE? Uh did I miss a page, duh, where did she come from? Helluuuurrrrr? Can u help me?

Happily the answer is quite easy.

Genesis 5 states that Adam begot sons and daughters (Genesis 5: 4). Adam lived 930 years producing children. We don’t have the time line at which Cain married, but beyond all question it was a daughter of Adam… a sister to himself.

Note: Incest was not in existence until sin had corrupted the DNA gene pool which necessitated a law (command) of God to cease from marriage within a family. The commands of God are always protective and where there is no danger of harm, there is no need of a law. Thus the prohibition against sexual unions with close family didn’t arise until Moses’ time.
